Glaciers served three ways - Austria

THREE DAYS, THREE GLACIERS. We don’t want to bore you with numbers, but the fact is that a good third of all of Austria’s 3,000 m peaks are located in Tyrol, which is significantly related to the glaciation of the local mountains. Simply put, glaciers scraped and formed the valleys which lead to the Inntal. Following these valleys takes you to the well-developed ski regions built on glaciers in Austria- which fortunately are not too developed to still have backcountry access to some secret insider powder stashes: in three days we’ll discover the most spectacular regions and most exciting spots of the Hintertuxer, Stubaier, Ötztaler, Pitztaler and Kaunertaler glaicers. If the weather gods are in our favor even some traverses of the single glaciers are planned. From east to west is our motto, or differently put for example, from Stubaital up and over into the Ötztal. Places to stay overnight will be chosen strategically in the respective valley and if the weather or the snow don’t play along with our plans we have the option to switch to another location.
